The bomb defuser player will have to tell the manual holder player what she sees: “There’s a bunch of horizontal wires!” The manual reader will frantically thumb through the manual and see specific directions depending on details only the bomb defuser see on the bomb, “OK…what color is the top wire?” There will be a similar back and forth with an exchange of ideas and commands with the occasional expletive. Neither player can see what the other player sees, so it will take communication and wits to defuse the bomb before the timer goes off or you cut the wrong wire and explode.Įach bomb has randomly generated modules to solve. The other player has a printed manual with directions on how to defuse the bomb. In Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes (or the “bomb game,” as I refer to it), one player is on the computer defusing the bomb. This is a computer game, which I normally don’t write about because I don’t own a computer that can run games (but I do have a smartphone and tablet).
